GOAL has responded to the world’s major humanitarian crises since its founding in 1977, working with vulnerable communities in 14 countries across the globe with a dedicated team of personnel. While GOAL continues to be an agile first-responder to humanitarian crises, it is also committed to working with vulnerable communities to help them survive crises and support them on the road to recovery.

Responsibilities

Facilities Management and Office Supplies

  • Manage office stores, stocks and ordering office supplies.
  • Maintain the office property register, and manage repairs, disposal, and replacements.
  • Manage the office equipment ensuring appropriate use, maintenance and servicing.
  • Issue and track keys, fobs, and other office equipment.
  • Proactively ensure that all office facilities are in good working order.
  • Track faults reported in the office and arrange repairs.
  • Contract and supplier management
  • Provide guidance for staff on use of office equipment or services.

Coordinate Front Desk and Daily Office Activities

  • Answer and manage a small volume of incoming and outgoing calls
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including courier services (FedEx, DHL, etc.).
  • Coordinate meeting room setups and ensure all equipment is available and functioning.
  • Organise refreshments (tea, coffee, lunches) for internal meetings.
  • Arrange external meeting venues and manage associated logistics.

Ensure a safe working environment

  • Maintain risk assessments, proactively identifying risks, assessing, and implementing mitigation measures.
  • Designated Fire warden for the GOAL office.
  • Provide training and guidance as required to HQ staff on safe workplace practices.
  • Support with incident reports on any health and safety incidents.
  • Maintain the office SharePoint site with guidance materials for staff working from or visiting the Dublin office.
  • Undertake other tasks as requested to enable the delivery of GOAL’s work.
