Job Summary 


The Merchandising team is at the center Goldbug’s business connecting customer needs with innovative products. The Associate Merchant works cross functionally with Product Development, Sales, Design and Planning to manage assortment direction and execute against business goals. This team balances data driven decision making with creativity and customer insight, ensuring products are competitive and aligned with retailer needs.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the development and management of assortments within assigned merchandise categories within the infant, toddler and kids space.
  • Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, margins, and product lifecycle data to identify opportunities and risks with detailed reporting.
  • Assist in the creation of line review documents, ensuring accuracy in costing, margin targets and factory information.
  • Maintain accurate product information, documentation, pricing, and vendor records in Centric PLM.
  • Support merchandising leadership to identify product opportunities, emerging design trends, and category growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Design to develop and launch Licensed and Private Brand products.
  • Monitor customer trends, competitive activity, and market insights to support assortment decisions.
  • Ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Support cross-functional projects and additional merchandising initiatives as assigned.
  • Leverage data to anticipate what’s next and continuously improve performance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in merchandising, retail buying, sales or a related field.
  • Centric PLM experience highly preferred.
  • Experience working with Mass Channel retailers highly preferred.
  • Strong retail math skills required.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, reporting, pivot tables)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated professional judgment in decision‑making, prioritization, and performance analysis.
  • A strong execution mindset, consistently driving results against defined objectives.
  • The ability to plan ahead and continuously identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Adaptability and creativity when navigating change or solving complex business challenges.
