GovSignals
New York, NY • Full-time • Hybrid
We are shaping the future of government contracting with breakthrough AI‑driven solutions. We are disrupting a multi-billion-dollar industry and enabling private‑sector technologies to secure government contracts faster than ever, strengthening national security and driving economic growth.
GovSignals has built the most advanced government‑contracting AI platform available. From small businesses to Fortune 500 enterprises, our platform multiplies the opportunities contractors can pursue and empowers them to deliver fully compliant, winning proposals in hours instead of months. As one of the largest aggregators of U.S. government data, we set trends rather than follow them.
About the Role
~1 min readYou'll work directly with the CTO and co-founder to design and build the systems that everything at GovSignals runs on — from serverless runtimes to Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
This isn't application code. This is the platform underneath it. You'll architect, implement, and operate high-performance backend services in TypeScript, deploy them across containerized and edge environments, and build the tooling that lets product engineers ship fast, securely, and with confidence. Your decisions define how software runs here — balancing speed, reliability, and scale across an AI-driven platform that's growing fast.
If you've built platforms that other engineers depend on and take pride in systems that just work, this is your role.

You've built platforms that other engineers ship on — not just services that run in isolation. You understand that great platform work is invisible: when you've done it right, product teams move faster and don't think about why.
You're comfortable operating across layers — from Postgres logical replication to Kubernetes networking to Typescript services — and you make informed tradeoffs between speed and durability. You default to simplicity, automate what should be automated, and know when to build versus when to buy.
You treat infrastructure as a product. Your users are other engineers, and you care about their experience.
