About the Role
~1 min readWe're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Marketing Engineering team in Prague, focused on building and operating reliable, high-volume email infrastructure and automation systems.
You'll own the systems that power large-scale customer communications — from email delivery platforms and MTA configuration to automation pipelines and cloud infrastructure. This role sits close to production, values reliability above all, and expects someone who automates first and documents as they go.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and operate Mail Transfer Agents (MTAs) such as Postfix, Sendmail, or Exim, and SMTP infrastructure

Build and maintain email notification systems used across multiple internal services

Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible

Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments via CI/CD pipelines (primarily Jenkins)

Maintain high availability, performance, and security across email and system infrastructure

Monitor email delivery and system health to consistently meet a 99.5% SLA

Troubleshoot delivery issues including bounces, blocks, throttling, and sender reputation problems

Implement and maintain email security standards: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS, and DNS configuration

Write and maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and operational playbooks

Share on-call responsibility within the team rotation and support incident response
Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, or DevOps

Strong experience configuring and operating MTAs and SMTP-based systems

Solid understanding of SMTP, DNS, TLS, and email deliverability fundamentals

Practical experience with Ansible and Terraform

Strong Linux proficiency and shell scripting

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins

Experience troubleshooting email delivery, bounce handling, blocking, and security issues

Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including end-to-end migrations

Understanding of cloud networking: VPCs, subnets, routing, BYOIP, ARIN IP management, and IP propagation to ISPs

Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
