About the Role

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) programs and the teams who serve children and families throughout our communities.

Responsibilities

→Support employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary documentation.
→Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and UPK program requirements.
→Assist employees with benefits enrollment, leave requests, and HR-related questions.
→Maintain HRIS systems, employee records, and HR reports.
→Support employee engagement, retention initiatives, and internal communications.
→Conduct employee orientations, benefits presentations, and HR training sessions.
→Maintain employee handbook policies and support consistent policy implementation across UPK sites.
→Partner with site directors and program leadership to address employee concerns and promote a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of HR experience, generalist experience preferred.
Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources or a related field
Hands-on experience administering HRIS/HRIMS systems (Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, or similar), including employee record management, reporting, workflow administration, and system configuration
Strong public speaking and presentation skills; comfortable leading workshops, orientations, and team meetings
Excellent organizational skills with consistent follow-through
Experience managing employee conflicts and performance discussions
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Discretion in handling confidential information
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be a self-starter
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
