About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Appraisal Coordinator to manage the full lifecycle of appraisal orders in a high-volume lending environment. This role is highly process-driven and communication-focused, requiring strong coordination between internal teams and external vendors.
You will serve as the central point of contact to ensure all appraisal orders are placed, tracked, and completed on time, with clear visibility across stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Appraisal Order Management
Receive and review loan details from internal systems
Place appraisal orders with:
Appraisal Management Companies (AMCs)
Direct appraisers when required
Ensure all necessary documentation (budgets, plans, surveys, etc.) is complete prior to submission
2. Vendor Coordination (Email-Based)
Act as the primary point of contact for appraisers and AMC vendors
Respond to inquiries and coordinate internally to resolve requests
Monitor timelines and ensure vendors meet delivery expectations
3. Tracking & Status Oversight
Maintain and update appraisal trackers (Google Sheets)
Monitor key data points including:
Order status
Due dates
Delays or risks
Ensure all updates are recorded accurately and consistently
4. Internal Communication
Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders such as sales and processing teams
Respond to status inquiries regarding:
Order placement
Expected delivery timelines
Potential delays
5. Follow-Ups & Timeline Management
Proactively follow up with vendors ahead of deadlines
Send check-ins and confirm report delivery schedules
Manage multiple active orders simultaneously while maintaining timelines
6. Documentation & Data Accuracy
Ensure all appraisal-related documents are properly uploaded and organized
Verify completeness and accuracy before order submission
Maintain clean and reliable records across systems
Requirements
Must-Have
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Ability to manage high-volume, process-driven work
Excellent written communication skills (email-based)
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Consistent and disciplined tracking habits
Preferred
Background in real estate, mortgage/lending, property management, or operations
Experience using:
Google Sheets
CRM or loan management systems
