The Fleet Support Associate provides hands‑on, entry‑level support for fleet yards, vehicles, tools, and equipment. This role focuses on organization, readiness, basic inspections, cleanliness, and logistical support to ensure vehicles and tools are available and safe for daily operations.
This position is non‑mechanical and does not require formal technician training. The Fleet Yard Associate supports fleet operations through checklist‑driven tasks and direct coordination of fleet staff.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Maintain cleanliness and organization of fleet yards, parking areas, and tool storage
- Stage vehicles, tools, and equipment for daily assignments
- Reposition vehicles and equipment as directed
- Driving will or may be required
- Assist with loading and unloading tools, materials, and small equipment
- Perform basic visual inspections (tires, lights, mirrors, leaks, damage)
- Wash, fuel, and prepare vehicles for use
- Replace or recharge batteries when trained
- Perform simple non‑mechanical tasks (light bulb replacement, washer fluid top‑off)
- Track keys, tools, and equipment using logs or basic inventory systems
- Flag missing, damaged, or unsafe tools and equipment
- Prepare tools and equipment for vendor pickup or service
- Report safety concerns, vehicle damage, or yard issues promptly
- Follow all yard safety rules, traffic patterns, and PPE requirements
- Support fleet leadership with basic documentation and checklists
Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic comfort working around vehicles and tools
- Ability to get a DOT Physical medcard
Requirements
