As a Senior Analyst - Research with Hines, you will report to the Managing Director – Asia Research and work closely with Quantitative Research, Global Head of Research, and members of the Investment Committee. You will support Investment and Fund teams with economic and real estate data and analysis across 6 country markets across Asia Pacific. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  Manage and enhance proprietary research datasets, databases, and analytical tools.

  Work within the proprietary Hines Research framework to analyze real estate markets across Asia with a focus on office, logistics, residential, and retail

  Collaborate with Quantitative Research to forecast markets and submarkets

• →

  Assist in the timely production of market overviews, analyses, presentations, reporting and publications at city, country and regional level for both internal and external audiences

  Support the review of new investments across the risk spectrum, working closely with local transaction teams on specific opportunities.

  Support the Managing Director in the development of quantitative and qualitative material to underpin regional investment strategies in collaboration with senior members of the Fund Management team

  Assist the Managing Director on new strategic initiatives, special projects, and other research activities as required

Minimum Requirements include: 

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Economics, Finance or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Master's degree, CFA or other relevant professional qualification is preferred but not required.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in real estate, ideally across multiple Asia markets.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Analyst position.
• Highly numerate with proven statistical and quantitative skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Powerpoint. Experience in Tableau and additional statistical packages is a plus
• Strong analytical skills, intellectually curious, adaptable, comfortable with multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven dynamic environment
• Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure timelines are met and deliverables are executed to the highest level
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional languages in Chinese, Japanese, Korea would be an advantage.
