DevOps Engineer (AWS/Terraform)

Web Design Sun is a remote-first company building scalable international products in SaaS, Cloud, and E-commerce domains, working with clients across the US and Europe.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise and strong theoretical grounding in system design.

This role is focused on building, scaling, and maintaining infrastructure, with emphasis on cloud architecture and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

  Design and manage AWS-based infrastructure

• →

  Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

• →

  Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines

• →

  Support high-load, distributed systems

• →

  Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance

• →

  Collaborate with backend and product teams

• →

  Proactively improve infrastructure and processes

• Deep knowledge of AWS services and architecture

• Strong understanding of:

  • System Design

  • Distributed Systems

  • High-load systems

  • Trade-offs in infrastructure decisions

• Theoretical foundation:

  • ACID / BASE

  • CAP / PACELC (especially in infra & DB context)

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Terraform (IaC)

  • GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD

• High level of ownership and proactivity

• Python (automation, scripting)

• Residence outside Russia, Belarus & Ukraine
