QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)

Web Design Sun is a software development company founded in 2012. We have been fully remote since day one, building international products in Web & Cloud Applications, SaaS, CRM/ERP, and E-commerce domains. We collaborate with clients from the US and Europe and consistently rank highly on Clutch, GoodFirms, and Upwork.

We are looking for a Middle QA Engineer (Manual + Automation) to join our team and help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of modern web applications. This role combines both manual and automation testing and offers an opportunity to influence QA processes, improve product quality, and contribute to engineering excellence.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in web application testing
• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience testing REST APIs
• Understanding of client-server architecture
• Confident use of browser DevTools and task management systems
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Hands-on experience with Java and Selenium for test automation
• Experience using AI tools in the testing process
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and teamwork skills
• English – B1+
• Ukrainian or Russian – C1+/Native
• Residence outside Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine

Nice to have:

• Experience with Python for test automation or internal services
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• Load testing experience
• Security testing experience
• Experience building QA processes and practices
• Knowledge-sharing mindset and willingness to contribute to quality culture

Responsibilities:

• Test modern web applications throughout the development lifecycle
• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing of new features
• Work with REST APIs and validate integrations between services
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Java and Selenium
• Collaborate with developers, designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to improve product quality
• Identify, document, and track defects
• Contribute to testing processes and suggest quality improvements
• Support the development of QA standards and best practices
