As our Engineering Manager for Antifraud, you will lead the development of a critical platform that protects businesses and users from fraud at scale. You’ll own a high-impact service powered by historical data analysis, shaping how we detect, prevent, and respond to threats in real time.

You’ll operate at the intersection of data, backend systems, and product execution, translating complex requirements into scalable solutions. By leading a talented team and staying hands-on with the code, you will ensure our antifraud capabilities are not only robust and reliable—but continuously evolving to stay ahead of emerging risks.

• Antifraud Platform Ownership – Lead the end-to-end development and operation of our antifraud solution, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability at every layer.
• Team Leadership & Delivery – Manage and mentor a team of 4–5 engineers, fostering a high-performance culture while delivering high-quality features on time.
• Technical Architecture & Scalability – Drive system design and architectural decisions for distributed, data-intensive systems built to operate at scale.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner closely with Product, Customer Success, and GTM teams to translate business needs into impactful technical solutions.
• Execution Excellence – Break down product requirements into clear engineering tasks, ensuring predictable and efficient delivery.
• Hands-On Engineering – Contribute directly to the codebase, participate in code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices.
• Operational Excellence – Own observability, monitoring, alerting, and performance tracking to ensure system health and continuous improvement.
• Data & Performance Insights – Leverage analytics and system metrics to optimize fraud detection performance and inform future enhancements.

• Technical Leader – You combine strong backend expertise with the ability to guide teams through complex engineering challenges.
• Systems Thinker – You design scalable, distributed systems with a deep understanding of data flow, reliability, and performance.
• Hands-On Builder – You’re comfortable diving into code while leading others, setting the standard for engineering excellence.
• Cross-Functional Partner – You communicate effectively with Product, CS, and GTM, aligning technical execution with business impact.
• Quality & Ownership Driven – You take full responsibility for your systems—from architecture to production reliability.
• Data-Oriented Problem Solver – You leverage data and analytics to drive decisions and continuously improve system outcomes.
• Calm in Complexity – You bring structure to ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot preferred)
• 2+ years in an engineering management or team lead role
• Strong experience building and operating backend systems in production
• Proven expertise with distributed systems, messaging systems (Kafka), and databases
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product and business teams
• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Familiarity with graph databases (Neo4j)
• Experience with data-driven or analytics-heavy products
