As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Incode, you’ll be a senior individual contributor on the platform team responsible for operating, scaling, and securing the production systems behind Incode’s identity infrastructure. You’ll own outcomes - not tickets - across our Kubernetes and AWS environments, partnering closely with software engineers, security, and leadership to make our platform faster, safer, and quieter. You won’t just keep the lights on; you’ll improve reliability, reduce operational friction through automation, and lead durable fixes when things break. This is real ownership with meaningful influence over how our platforms run day to day, without being an architect role.

• Production Kubernetes - Operate, scale, and evolve cloud-native infrastructure with a strong bias toward reliability, observability, and automation.
• Infrastructure as Code - Build and maintain Terraform and Helm Charts with real depth, driving consistency and repeatability across environments.
• CI/CD at Scale - Implement and maintain pipelines that are fast, secure, and developer-friendly, shortening the path from merge to deploy.
• Incident Response & Root Cause - Lead incidents when they hit, run blameless post-incident learning, and ship the durable fix - not just the patch.
• Observability That Earns Trust - Improve monitoring and alerting to cut noise, surface real signal, and reduce on-call burnout.
• Pragmatic Security & Compliance - Partner with security to implement controls that hold up to audit without crippling velocity, keeping secrets management, access controls, and network boundaries sane and defensible.
• Developer Experience - Treat operational pain as a bug. Automate, document, and pave the road for the engineers shipping on top of your platform.
• On-Call Ownership - Participate in the team’s weekly 24x7 rotation (handoff Mondays ~11am PT). Respond promptly, escalate cleanly, and own customer-impacting issues through to resolution.

• Production Owner - You don’t need constant direction and don’t wait to be told something is broken. You go look.
• Pragmatic Operator - You’re opinionated but optimize for outcomes, not ideology. You push back when something is unsafe or short-sighted, and concede when you’re wrong.
• Automation Mindset - You document and automate what matters. Tribal knowledge is a bug. Manual runbooks are a smell.
• Clear Communicator - You can explain an outage, a tradeoff, or a risk to engineers, security, and leadership without losing nuance or hiding behind jargon.
• Quiet Reliability - You take pride in the unsexy work: clean rollbacks, sane secrets, quiet alerts, repeatable deploys.
• Engaged Teammate - You show up in team discussions, design reviews, and task refinement. This isn’t a tickets-only seat.

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production - not just standing it up.
• Deep familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS strongly preferred).
• Proven depth in Infrastructure as Code - Terraform and Helm Charts are essential, not nice-to-haves.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD systems at scale.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and real production debugging skills.
• Comfortable with a weekly 24x7 on-call rotation and the responsiveness it demands.

• Experience operating MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other stateful systems in production.
• Familiarity with security tooling, certificate management, or compliance frameworks.
• Background in SaaS operations or environments with real uptime, security, or regulatory stakes.
• Track record of improving developer experience through tooling and automation.
