Associate Program Manager, Data Science

The Associate Program Manager, Data Science, will serve as the product owner for the Plant Information Center (PIC) and Industry Reporting and Information System (IRIS), ensuring these critical business systems effectively support organizational and industry needs. This role collaborates across the data science and IT teams as well as the broader Institute to prioritize enhancements, drive product delivery, support users, and maintain program documentation. The position also evaluates opportunities for continuous improvement and helps align PIC and IRIS capabilities with INPO's strategic objectives.

• Serves as the Plant Information Center (PIC) and Industry Reporting and Information System (IRIS) Product Owner, coordinating with the Data Quality team to translate business priorities and requirements into actionable work for IT development teams
• Leads coordination of PIC and IRIS product delivery activities, including backlog management and prioritization, sprint planning support, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure successful implementation of enhancements and capabilities
• Maintains and creates documentation for existing and new programs, products, process improvements and procedures regarding PIC and IRIS
• Supports, participates, or leads in PIC and IRIS industry and INPO initiatives
• Communicates PIC and IRIS program updates to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, and providing support as needed
• Assists in assessing the potential impact of changes within PIC and IRIS, including changes in scope, objectives, or project plans
• Provides flexible technical support to assist users with operationalization of digital tools
• Assists in assessing the potential for improvements or solutions within PIC and IRIS, with long term organizational strategies and goals in mind
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of industry data and INPO 19-002: Industry Reporting and Information System Reporting Requirements
• Advanced ability to communicate complex information in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders
• Working knowledge of Agile principles and practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, requirements documentation, and coordination with technical teams

• High School Diploma or GED

• Four or more years of professional work experience
• Two or more years of experience working with INPO data (at INPO or at a member utility)

• Experience with software product ownership or management
• Experience working with software delivery teams

• Must be able to work prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to work under minimal supervision
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
• Must have a US state or territory issued Real ID compliant driver’s license or identification card
