Quick Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented site engineer with a degree in civil engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in construction for our development department at The Island Mixed Used Project (Limassol).
The Site Engineer will be on-site supervising diversified aspects of the ongoing construction, ensuring alignment with the assigned project objectives, quality standards and compliance with guidelines and regulatory requirements. You will also foster effective communication by liaising with contractors, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Daily supervising of site works. Overall ensuring that the project is being executed within the required timeframes, within the required budget and according to the quality standards and compliance with guidelines and regulations, including permits, safety plans, public authorities.
Reporting to the Project Manager.
Analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, survey reports and other technical documentation to guide and control the construction process. Checking the technical files and other technical documentation as required.
Following and monitoring the approved program. Reporting project updates, milestones and potential risks to the Project manager and key stakeholders.
Overseeing allocated resources, materials and equipment.
Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications.
Monitoring, controlling, and being present at testing activities.
Identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures to minimize project delays, cost overruns and safety hazards. Updating the Risk register.
Conducting regular Health and Safety inspections to ensure that all the works are being executed as per the H&S plan.
Preparing and participating in the reports as required by management. Attending site meetings and tracking actions required.
Verifying monthly evaluations from the main contractor.
Communicating and coordinating with all discipline consultants (Architect-Structural-MEP), contractors, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
Carry out additional site-related tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.
Required skills and qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or college
2-5 years of experience as a site engineer, civil engineer or an equivalent role
Demonstrated proficiency in managing and supervising construction projects
Knowledge of QA/QC processes
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and other software
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulations
Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
