Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; nights and weekends as needed.


Job Summary: The College Student Recruitment Coordinator organizes and coordinates the recruitment operations for the college. Seeks out potential candidates by representing the college at high schools, community colleges, and professional association gatherings. Coordinates and/or delivers the college's presentations at campus recruitment events. Develops and executes initiatives focused on enhancing student recruitment rates.


Additional Department Summary: Supports the recruitment and outreach work of the Lee J. Styslinger Jr. College of Engineering by managing the completion of territories, schools, visits, event components, scholarship processes, communications, and Welcome Center responsibilities. Represents the College through approved presentations and travel, maintains accurate records, coordinates assigned scholarship-awarding and distribution activities, and manages the donor thank-you-letter process and Denny updates. May provide limited functional guidance to Ambassadors and front-desk student employees to ensure coverage, task completion, and compliance with established procedures.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Skills and Knowledge: Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and public-speaking skills. Knowledge of student recruitment, outreach, visitor-experience, event coordination, scholarship administration is a plus, and office operations. Ability to coordinate assigned activities, timelines, records, schedules, travel, and school outreach; follow established strategy, messaging, handbooks, and procedures; resolve routine operational concerns; recognize matters requiring referral to the Director; and prepare accurate status updates and records. Strong organizational, customer-service, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in handling confidential student, scholarship, and donor information. Ability to use Slate, student-information systems, Concur, Microsoft Office, and comparable administrative platforms.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting or coordinating student recruitment, school outreach, prospective-student visits, or recruitment events in a college or university setting. Experience coordinating schedules, assignments, or handbook compliance for student employees or ambassadors. Experience administering scholarships or other eligibility-based student processes, maintaining confidential records, and managing multiple annual deadlines. Experience collaborating with academic departments, Admissions, campus partners, schools, families, donors, alumni, and community organizations. Experience using Slate, Concur, Denny, scholarship-management systems, student-information systems, or comparable databases. Experience compiling participation information.
