Job Summary: The Director of Technology Partnerships provides leadership, management, and operational oversight for a portfolio of application, system, and technical support teams serving colleges, divisions, and administrative units across the University. Ensures reliable, secure, and effective support for mission critical systems that are essential to the operations of assigned units. Oversees one or more functional areas, typically including a large academic or administrative unit along with one or more smaller units. Partners closely with unit leadership to understand operational needs, align technology support to organizational priorities, and ensure supported systems are effectively implemented, maintained, and continuously improved.
Additional Department Summary: Provides direct oversight of managerial and technical staff. Oversees system lifecycles. Coordinates projects and enhancements. Serves as a primary point of accountability for service delivery within the assigned portfolio. Works collaboratively with other Technology Partnerships directors, OIT leadership, and external vendors to ensure consistent service delivery and alignment with OIT standards and practices.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree and six (6) years of IT experience; OR bachelor’s degree and eight (8) years of IT experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading application or system teams supporting complex business, academic, health, advancement, or research platforms. Experience supporting multiple client organizations or functional areas within a single role. Experience working in higher education or similarly complex environments. Experience coordinating vendor supported systems.
