You will work with transformation leaders and business analysts to understand how work is performed, identify bottlenecks and root causes, and design more effective future-state workflows. The position combines process analysis, data analysis, documentation, and practical improvement initiatives across complex operational environments. You will use Python and SQL to investigate process performance and measure improvements in areas such as cycle time, errors, and workload. You will also help identify opportunities for automation, digital tools, and AI-enabled capabilities. Conduct structured reviews of current-state workflows and participate in discovery sessions to document process steps, handoffs, controls, bottlenecks, and root causes across business functions.

Use Python and SQL to prepare, query, analyze, and validate process data while investigating bottlenecks and measuring cycle time, error rates, workload, and other relevant performance indicators.

Design future-state workflows that simplify processes, reduce administrative effort, improve consistency, and clearly define roles and responsibilities.

Identify opportunities to apply automation, digital forms, integrated tools, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve processes, working with analysts and technical teams to define supporting requirements.

Develop clear process artifacts, including standard operating procedures, workflow diagrams, RACI matrices, templates, job aids, and other implementation documentation.

Support pilot testing by collecting performance and user-feedback data, documenting findings, and helping refine redesigned processes.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation throughout the modernization effort.

Ensure process deliverables align with applicable policies, internal controls, accessibility requirements, and federal standards.

Collaborate with transformation leaders, business analysts, technical stakeholders, and operational teams to translate findings into practical and actionable improvements.
Requirements

Hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least 5 years of relevant experience in process analysis, business process reengineering, process improvement, consulting, or a related discipline.

Have hands-on experience using Python to prepare and analyze process data and SQL to query, join, and validate datasets.

Demonstrate hands-on experience documenting current-state and future-state processes and identifying root causes, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

Have experience creating process documentation such as SOPs, workflow diagrams, RACI matrices, templates, job aids, or similar process artifacts.

Be able to work independently in ambiguous environments, quickly learn unfamiliar business processes, ask effective discovery questions, and translate findings into clear and actionable documentation.

Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Be comfortable working across unfamiliar business domains and translating complex operational information into practical process improvements.

Be able to successfully complete the background investigation, suitability, credentialing, and system-access requirements associated with a Moderate Risk Public Trust position.

Have federal consulting or professional-services experience as a preferred qualification.

Hold a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or comparable process-improvement certification or training as a preferred qualification.

Have experience with Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or comparable process-mapping tools as a preferred qualification.

Have working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint/Microsoft 365, data and API concepts, or similar modernization technologies as a preferred qualification.

Have hands-on experience using generative AI or LLM tools for process analysis, research, documentation, or process redesign as a preferred qualification.
