This is a senior, customer-facing technology leadership role focused on shaping strategic solutions for major enterprise accounts.
You’ll act as a trusted technical advisor, connecting customer business priorities with complex technology architectures and innovative solutions.
The role combines presales architecture, industry expertise, thought leadership, relationship management, and business development.
You’ll engage with executives and technical stakeholders while influencing long-term technology strategies and investment decisions.
Working across a highly matrixed environment, you’ll coordinate internal specialists, business units, partners, and customer teams.
You’ll also identify emerging technologies and industry trends and translate them into actionable opportunities for customers.
The position offers significant visibility and the opportunity to influence both customer transformation and strategic growth across large accounts.

  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to strategic customers and internal account teams, influencing technology strategy, architecture, and investment decisions.

  • Architect end-to-end solutions addressing complex business and IT requirements, with a strong understanding of service provider data-center environments.

  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships across customer IT, business, and organizational leadership.

  • Engage proactively with customers and account teams to co-define and co-create solutions ahead of competitive opportunities.

  • Identify, qualify, pursue, and help win new sales opportunities that expand the technology footprint and revenue within strategic accounts.

  • Monitor emerging technologies, industry developments, processes, and solution trends and translate relevant innovations into customer opportunities.

  • Establish relationships with key independent software vendors, systems integrators, partners, and internal technical organizations.

  • Develop thought-leadership materials, presentations, white papers, and strategic recommendations for customer and internal audiences.

  • Share relevant market and customer insights with broader technology, industry, and executive teams while respecting confidentiality and NDA requirements.

  • Ensure customer expectations are appropriately established and aligned with the organization’s ability to deliver proposed solutions.

  • Mentor and guide specialty sales, presales, and enterprise architecture professionals within the broader industry team.

  • Manage multiple strategic engagements and projects simultaneously across a complex, highly matrixed environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree from an accredited university.

  • 15+ years of practical experience in IT, technology, solution development, and technology sales; global IT experience is preferred.

  • At least 4 years of deep experience within the Tier 1 service provider industry.

  • Strong expertise across enterprise technology portfolios, solution architecture, and emerging technology trends.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and position innovative technology solutions that address complex business and IT challenges.

  • Strong understanding of service provider data-center architectures and the ability to design end-to-end solutions.

  • Proven ability to establish credibility and trusted relationships with senior executives, account teams, technical specialists, partners, and customers.

  • Experience operating successfully within complex, highly matrixed organizations and coordinating multiple business-unit opportunities.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and project-management skills.

  • Ability to translate sophisticated technical concepts and industry developments into clear business value and actionable recommendations.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering sustained results and influencing strategic decisions.

  • Global IT experience and experience with global systems integrators or consulting organizations are advantageous.

What We Offer

✓Annual total compensation range of $231,500–$492,500 in California or $203,500–$492,500 in Washington, depending on location, experience, education, training, and skills.
✓Compensation structure consisting of approximately 80% base salary and 20% target-level sales compensation at 100% attainment of the sales plan.
