This freelance opportunity is ideal for an experienced Estonian language specialist passionate about localization quality, linguistic consistency, and continuous improvement. You will serve as the primary linguistic quality owner for a major global technology program, ensuring that reviewers and post-editors apply consistent standards across multiple content types. Working closely with client stakeholders and language teams, you will interpret quality expectations, manage escalations, and strengthen alignment between written guidelines and real-world decisions. Your expertise will directly influence review performance, quality governance, and the user experience of localized products. With approximately 24 hours of work per month, this remote engagement offers an opportunity to contribute to high-visibility technology products while building a long-term professional partnership.

  • Analyze style guides, glossaries, and guideline updates to identify affected quality categories and content types, documenting changes and tracking the client’s evolving expectations.
  • Serve as the primary linguistic contact for the client’s Language Manager, handling quality discussions, clarifications, arbitration, and escalations.
  • Organize regular alignment roundtables and publish monthly quality reports covering performance, recurring errors, priority improvement areas, guideline updates, and arbitration outcomes.
  • Coach reviewers individually through evidence-based feedback, shadowing sessions, and targeted training informed by actual alignment and calibration data.
  • Monitor review quality, including RQE audit results, alignment performance, error severity, and consistency across the language community.
  • Maintain accurate, well-supported arbitration records and ensure that all escalations submitted to the client are valid and evidence-based.
  • Identify recurring linguistic issues and justification patterns, propose improvements to style guides, and share cross-locale insights with quality management teams.
  • Build a strong working relationship with the client’s Language Manager, ensuring that decisions are consistently communicated and applied across UI, marketing, informational, legal, product, and support content.
