This position oversees key Release of Information (ROI) workflows, monitors operational performance, and ensures compliance with applicable privacy regulations and disclosure requirements. You will collaborate with internal teams, healthcare clients, and external vendors to maintain high standards of service quality and operational efficiency. By analyzing performance data and identifying opportunities for improvement, you will help streamline processes and strengthen compliance practices.   • Release of Information Operations: Support and coordinate daily ROI activities across assigned healthcare facilities, ensuring efficient workflows, accurate document processing, quality monitoring, and consistent productivity.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Privacy: Ensure all disclosures of protected health information comply with HIPAA, applicable state disclosure laws, authorization requirements, client policies, and organizational standards.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Analyze operational performance, track productivity and quality indicators, prepare reports, communicate results, and identify trends that may affect service delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, standardize procedures, strengthen quality assurance, and optimize ROI processes across assigned facilities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a key resource for internal stakeholders and client leadership on ROI procedures, compliance questions, operational challenges, audits, and workflow enhancements.
  • Issue Resolution and Escalation: Investigate operational concerns, support the resolution of complex cases, and coordinate with relevant teams to address compliance risks and service delivery issues.
  • Vendor Management: When applicable, monitor vendor performance and ensure external service providers meet operational expectations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Excellence: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support consistent implementation of policies and procedures, and promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and service excellence.
  • Requirements

  • Healthcare Information Management Knowledge: Strong understanding of Release of Information processes, authorization requirements, protected health information, and applicable privacy and disclosure regulations.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Knowledge of HIPAA, state-specific disclosure laws, healthcare privacy requirements, and compliance standards governing the release of medical records.
  • Relevant Experience: Experience supporting or managing ROI operations, health information management, medical records processing, healthcare compliance, or related operational functions is highly valuable.
  • Education and Certifications: A relevant background in health information management is preferred. Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification is an advantage.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to interpret performance data, identify operational trends, investigate issues, and recommend practical improvements that enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain ROI procedures, communicate compliance requirements, and collaborate effectively with internal teams and client leadership.
  • Organization and Prioritization: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities, monitor multiple workflows, and meet operational deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quality and Compliance Focus: Commitment to protecting confidential information, maintaining accurate records, following established procedures, and ensuring consistent service standards.
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: Ability to work effectively with healthcare stakeholders, internal teams, and external vendors while adapting to evolving operational needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Annual Salary: Base pay ranging from $50,461 to $114,114.48, depending on experience, qualifications, education, skills, role level, and location.
  • Annual Bonus: Eligibility to participate in an annual bonus plan with a target of 10% of eligible compensation.
