Join a remote technology team as a .NET Developer, contributing to the development, maintenance, and reliability of business-critical applications. In this contract role, you will combine hands-on software engineering with production support to ensure applications remain stable, secure, and performant. You will build and enhance backend services, web applications, and APIs using C# and .NET technologies while diagnosing and resolving technical issues. Working closely with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams, you will also contribute to deployment processes and continuous integration and delivery workflows. This opportunity is well suited to a problem-solving developer who enjoys both building software and addressing real-world production challenges. Your work will help improve application performance, minimize disruptions, and support reliable software delivery.

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
  • Build and maintain Web APIs, web applications, and backend services that meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, investigate errors, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide production and application support, responding to technical incidents and resolving them within required timelines.
  • Perform debugging, implement code fixes, and investigate performance bottlenecks to improve application stability.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on build, deployment, release, and application maintenance activities.
  • Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate consistent and efficient software delivery.
  • Use Azure DevOps or similar platforms and Git for source control, build management, deployments, and team collaboration.
  • Monitor application behavior, analyze logs, and investigate deployment failures and production incidents.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring issues.
  • Work closely with developers, QA engineers, DevOps specialists, infrastructure teams, and other technical stakeholders.
  • Follow established development, security, deployment, and production support best practices.
  • Document technical solutions, troubleshooting procedures, and support processes to improve knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience developing applications with C# and .NET.
  • Practical experience with .NET Core and ASP.NET Core.
  • Solid understanding of Web APIs, backend development, and web application architecture.
  • Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience supporting applications in production environments and resolving technical incidents.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or a comparable DevOps platform.
  • Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
  • Understanding of application deployment, release management, and production maintenance processes.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on application reliability and performance.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Ability to manage development tasks and production issues in a remote contract environment.
