Principal Product Marketing Manager, Core Platform

This is a senior product marketing role responsible for shaping the core platform story and how it resonates with prospective customers across every major touchpoint. You’ll own positioning, messaging architecture, claims, and proof points while connecting brand strategy with product direction and growth priorities. Working closely with Product, Brand, Web, Growth, Design, and frontline teams, you’ll translate complex platform value into clear, compelling customer-facing experiences. Your work will influence website strategy, trial and acquisition journeys, campaigns, pricing conversations, and sales and support interactions. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, from positioning workshops and roadmap planning to copy reviews and funnel analysis. - Own the core platform positioning and messaging architecture, defining the value proposition, communication pillars, claims, metrics, and proof points that establish a consistent and credible platform story across the organization.
- Contribute to pricing and packaging strategy by bringing platform value framing, competitive intelligence, customer insights, and funnel performance data into relevant decision-making.
- Connect product strategy with market positioning, partnering closely with Product leadership to understand the roadmap, translate upcoming capabilities into positioning, and ensure current messaging supports future product direction.
- Partner with growth channels to shape audience targeting, messaging, trial experiences, website strategy, funnel motions, and conversion opportunities across key acquisition touchpoints.
- Collaborate with Web, Design, and other cross-functional teams to bring positioning discipline to information architecture, customer experiences, campaigns, demos, video, and other high-impact marketing assets.
- Enable frontline teams by developing talk tracks, competitive responses, messaging frameworks, and practical playbooks that help Support, Customer Success, and other customer-facing teams consistently communicate the core platform value.
- Build scalable marketing systems and playbooks, creating structure from ambiguity while using customer, campaign, and funnel data to test assumptions and improve messaging effectiveness.
Requirements
~2 min read- 7+ years of experience in Product Marketing or a closely related field, including experience operating at the platform or brand level.
- Demonstrated expertise in customer-backed positioning and messaging architecture, with a track record of creating messaging frameworks that can be adopted and maintained across teams.
- Experience partnering on product-led growth (PLG) motions, including funnel strategy, trial optimization, self-serve acquisition, and collaboration with Growth teams.
- Ability to work from product strategy and roadmap inputs, translating upcoming capabilities into compelling positioning before they launch.
- Experience with SaaS pricing and packaging strategy, including competitive analysis, willingness-to-pay research or inputs, and evaluating packaging trade-offs.
- Strong understanding of the website as a marketing and conversion channel, including information architecture, positioning, conversion thinking, and collaboration with Design and Engineering.
- Strong enablement skills, with the ability to understand frontline needs and efficiently develop resources that improve customer conversations.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to work confidently with funnel and campaign data, combined with strong writing and messaging skills.
- Comfortable creating playbooks and structure in ambiguous environments, knowing when to move quickly and when to pressure-test assumptions.
- Experience in healthcare SaaS or another highly regulated industry is a meaningful plus.
- Strong cross-functional communication, collaboration, strategic thinking, and ability to influence stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Growth, Web, Design, and customer-facing teams.
