This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape and evolve global compensation strategy across a large, geographically distributed workforce.
You will serve as the subject matter expert for compensation, advising executives and business leaders on programs that support talent attraction, engagement, and pay equity.
The role spans salary structures, incentives, equity, benchmarking, job architecture, performance cycles, cost modeling, and M&A.
You will combine deep analytical expertise with AI-enabled tools to modernize compensation design, modeling, reporting, and decision-making.
Working cross-functionally with People, Talent Acquisition, HR Technology, Finance, and Legal teams, you will translate complex data and regulations into practical programs.
You will also lead a lean global compensation team while strengthening transparency, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
This remote role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on compensation leader who enjoys challenging established approaches and building scalable solutions.

✓Develop and implement competitive global compensation strategies covering salary structures, incentive plans, and equity programs.
✓Design and administer annual compensation cycles, salary reviews, short- and long-term incentives, equity refreshes, promotions, and related programs.
✓Ensure compensation programs comply with internal policies and applicable federal, state, and international regulations, including evolving pay transparency requirements.
✓Anticipate compensation risks and pay equity gaps, establish appropriate controls, and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
✓Build cost and impact models for new and evolving compensation programs, applying AI and advanced analytics to benchmarking, modeling, and program design.
✓Provide data-driven compensation recommendations to executives, business leaders, and HR stakeholders across regions and functions.
✓Partner with HR Technology to maintain job architecture and compensation programs within Workday and related systems.
✓Lead participation in global compensation surveys and analyze market data to evaluate competitiveness and support pay equity reporting.
✓Develop practical and engaging compensation enablement for HR professionals, managers, and employees using accessible, non-traditional formats.
✓Manage, mentor, and develop a lean global compensation team.
✓Lead compensation workstreams associated with mergers and acquisitions.
✓Establish effective approaches for using AI and analytics across the compensation function.

✓Zone 2: $251,700–$522,800
✓Zone 3: $228,800–$475,200

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading compensation programs within large, global technology organizations, including experience managing people.
  • Proven ability to design and implement compensation strategies for geographically dispersed, international workforces.
  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling capabilities, with the ability to build models, challenge assumptions, stress-test scenarios, and translate findings into defensible recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for compensation analytics, modeling, reporting, or program design, along with an understanding of compensation considerations for AI/ML and other highly competitive technical talent.
  • Strong knowledge of the EU Pay Transparency Directive and comparable global pay equity and transparency regulations, including job leveling, gap reporting, and multi-country readiness.
  • In-depth knowledge of global compensation benchmarking surveys, methodologies, and market practices.
  • Experience with Workday HCM and Advanced Compensation.
  • Hands-on experience developing compensation models, dashboards, and reporting that support executive decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and an established network within the compensation community.
  • Excellent judgment and attention to detail when handling sensitive, confidential, and time-critical matters.
  • Strong leadership, influence, and relationship-building skills across HR, business, and executive audiences.
  • Strong project management and decision-making capabilities, with a hands-on and adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex compensation data clearly.
  • Service-oriented approach with credibility and confidence when working with senior executives and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-directed and collaborative, with the ability to operate effectively both independently and as part of a global team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or another quantitative discipline; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
