This role offers the opportunity to shape and support enterprise asset management capabilities that underpin critical gas operations. You will work across IBM Maximo and MAS to design, configure, develop, test, and maintain secure and scalable solutions. The position combines hands-on engineering with application support, integrations, automation, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, systems integrators, and fellow engineers to translate operational needs into effective technical solutions. You will also contribute to modern engineering practices, AI-enabled development, and platform reliability. Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and support IBM Maximo 7.6 and MAS 9 solutions throughout the full software delivery lifecycle.
Provide technical support for enterprise asset management capabilities supporting gas operations, including work management and execution, construction, inspections, and maintenance.
Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs, delivery plans, and maintainable application solutions.
Develop and support enterprise integrations using Web Services, REST/SOAP, Azure API Management, the Maximo Integration Framework, and related technologies.
Configure and extend Maximo through workflows, automation scripts, MBO customizations, BIRT reports, Database Configuration, Cron Tasks, escalations, and other application extensions.
Deliver application enhancements, production fixes, performance improvements, automation, and operational support while maintaining reliability and data integrity.
Troubleshoot complex issues involving applications, integrations, workflows, reporting, performance, and data.
Apply AI-enabled development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, and IBM Bob where they can improve development quality, productivity, support outcomes, or user value.
Create test plans, test cases, validation documentation, deployment evidence, technical designs, configuration notes, deployment guides, and user documentation.
Promote engineering best practices, operational standards, and effective support processes across technical and functional teams.
Mentor teammates, share technical expertise, and contribute to continuous learning and engineering excellence.
Build strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders through clear communication, responsive support, and dependable delivery.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in application development, application support, or enterprise platform engineering.
5+ years of experience working with Scrum/Agile, ITIL, and software development lifecycle practices, including at least 2 years on an Agile development team.
2+ years of experience implementing or supporting Maximo within cloud-based architectures.
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management systems, Maximo implementation practices, and utility asset management processes.
Strong understanding of Maximo architecture, modules, security models, configuration patterns, and extension points.
Hands-on experience with Maximo configuration and customization, including Database Configuration, Escalations, Cron Tasks, workflows, automation scripts, MBO customizations, BIRT reports, and integration frameworks.
Experience developing or supporting integrations with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, GIS, and mobile applications.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud deployment patterns, source control, and CI/CD practices.
Proficiency in Java and SQL, with experience in technologies such as Python, JavaScript, C#, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MuleSoft, or Azure considered an advantage.
Experience optimizing Maximo performance and improving platform reliability, maintainability, and operational support outcomes.
Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
Ability to work without current or future visa sponsorship.
