This remote position supports utilization management operations that help members access appropriate care and services.
You’ll provide essential non-clinical administrative support while following established healthcare processes and quality standards.
The role combines documentation, coordination, data entry, customer support, and operational follow-through.
You’ll work closely with internal teams to keep workflows accurate, timely, and compliant.
The position is well suited to someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple systems.
You’ll operate within clearly defined processes, with opportunities to contribute to efficient and positive member experiences.
The role is full-time, remote nationwide, with occasional travel for training or meetings when needed.

Support utilization management policies, procedures, and day-to-day operational activities.

Provide non-clinical administrative support to help facilitate appropriate member care and services.

Complete administrative, clerical, operational, and customer-support tasks accurately and according to established guidelines.

Maintain accurate records, documentation, and information across relevant systems.

Manage assigned workloads and prioritize competing tasks to meet productivity, quality, and timeliness expectations.

Collaborate with internal teams to support departmental and operational objectives.

Identify and escalate issues that fall outside established processes or guidelines.

Follow departmental policies, compliance requirements, quality standards, and performance expectations.

Work effectively within defined processes and under appropriate supervision.
Requirements

Previous administrative, technical support, or comparable operational experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Strong typing, computer navigation, and digital literacy skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work simultaneously across several computer applications.

Customer service or contact center experience, particularly involving telephone-based support, is preferred.

Healthcare experience is preferred, along with familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation systems.

High school diploma is preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes is a plus.

Experience with utilization review or prior authorization, particularly within a managed care environment, is preferred.

Previous experience working remotely or in a work-from-home environment is beneficial.

Ability to work independently within established procedures while escalating exceptions appropriately.

A reliable home working environment with a dedicated workspace and internet service providing at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds is required. Wireless, wired cable, or DSL connections are suggested; alternative connection types may require approval.
