This is a high-impact finance leadership role at the intersection of infrastructure, energy, transportation, and technology.
You will shape the financial strategy behind the deployment of battery-powered rail assets, charging infrastructure, and dedicated microgrids.
The role owns how major assets are funded, how customer contracts are structured, and how capital is raised to support rapid growth.
You will build financing models and structures designed to scale from hundreds of millions of dollars toward billions in deployed infrastructure.
The position combines equity fundraising, asset finance, deal design, financial modeling, incentives, governance, and investor readiness.
You will also build and lead a lean, AI-native finance organization spanning accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, legal, and financial operations.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on finance executive to create the financing playbook for an emerging infrastructure model rather than maintain an established one.
- Lead equity fundraising and develop the capital strategy required to support the organization's growth and long-term infrastructure deployment.
- Design and execute asset financing structures for fleets and energy infrastructure, including project finance, tax equity, lease facilities, and infrastructure partnerships, with a long-term path from hundreds of millions to billions of dollars.
- Lead deal design across pricing and commercial structures, including leasing, energy sales, and hybrid models that balance customer value with capital attractiveness.
- Build and maintain an integrated financial model connecting engineering requirements, deployment plans, unit economics, operating performance, and capital structures.
- Establish audit, financial controls, governance, and investor relations capabilities aligned with public-company standards and long-term readiness.
- Identify and maximize eligible tax credits, grants, and public financing programs that can support infrastructure deployment and improve project economics.
- Build and lead a lean, AI-native finance organization across accounting, FP&A, treasury, and tax, while overseeing day-to-day financial operations and payments.
- Lead the financial aspects of legal and contracting activities, working closely with the General Counsel and future in-house legal resources on commercial and financing agreements.
- Serve as a senior financial partner to boards, investors, banks, engineers, and other stakeholders, translating complex capital structures and financial decisions into clear business implications.
Requirements
~1 min read- Significant executive-level experience leading finance, capital strategy, fundraising, and financial operations in high-growth or capital-intensive organizations.
- Demonstrated experience raising substantial amounts of equity and debt across different market environments.
- Strong experience financing long-lived, capital-intensive assets, ideally within energy, utilities, telecommunications, transportation, infrastructure, real estate, or similarly asset-heavy industries.
- Experience developing or financing novel asset or infrastructure models where established financing precedents may not exist.
- Strong understanding of project finance, tax equity, leasing structures, infrastructure partnerships, equity financing, and debt markets.
- Ability to develop sophisticated financial models that connect capital requirements, deployment, engineering, unit economics, pricing, and long-term returns.
- Demonstrated credibility with boards, banks, investors, and other sophisticated financial stakeholders, with the ability to communicate complex capital structures clearly to both financial and technical audiences.
- Hands-on, low-ego, entrepreneurial approach with a preference for building new capabilities rather than simply maintaining established processes.
- Strong strategic judgment, commercial thinking, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with significant ambiguity and growth.
- Experience in rail, transportation, or energy is a plus.
