As an Associate Onboarding Manager, you are a detail-oriented and proactive customer partner who is passionate about delivering a seamless onboarding experience. You are highly organized and thrive in structured environments, where you can manage timelines, execute repeatable processes, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

You bring a service-first mindset to every customer interaction, anticipating needs and responding with clarity and urgency. You are comfortable guiding customers through foundational onboarding steps, helping them build confidence in the platform while ensuring key milestones are completed on time.

You are developing your consultative skills and product knowledge, and you are eager to learn how to navigate more complex customer scenarios. You are resourceful, adaptable, and take ownership of your work, consistently following through on commitments and seeking support when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onboarding guide for new customers, ensuring a smooth and timely implementation experience
  • Partner with prospective customers who have expressed interest in Justworks, identifying opportunities to deliver early value and support conversion and revenue growth
  • Monitor onboarding progress through internal checklists to ensure completion of all required steps
  • Identify onboarding blockers and proactively work to resolve them with internal partners
  • Triage and respond to inbound customer questions within SLA 
  • Ensure accurate first payroll milestone is met and educate customers on payroll tools and capabilities
  • Review account setup for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain consistent communication through check-ins and follow-ups
  • Prepare and deliver onboarding completion and handoff communications
  • Deliver a customer centered onboarding experience, ensuring each customer feels supported, informed, and set up for success
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a customer-facing, operations, or support role
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to follow structured processes while adapting to customer needs
  • Aptitude for learning new products and subject matter

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $28.85 to $31.74 per hour.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
