Manager, Logistics & Planning Control

Position SummaryWe are seeking a manager to oversee both the Import & Export team (4 people) and the Planning & Control team (3 people). This role reports to SCM department manager and has two critical priorities: ensuring trade compliance and risk control for logistics, and driving proactive, assertive cross-functional communication for planning control. We are looking for someone who can balance operational discipline with the courage to speak up and influence other departments professionally. Key Responsibilities For Import & Export: Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, including customs laws, import & export controls, and sanctions for shipments inbound to and outbound from Mainland China. Ensure customs accounts are fully reconciled and closely monitor bonded material balance to remain compliant with Chinese customs regulations. Establish and enforce robust internal controls to mitigate risks in customs declaration, documentation, and broker management. Lead regular compliance audits and corrective actions to maintain a best-in-class control environment. Lead process improvements that reduce lead times and improve communication without compromising compliance. Stay current on regulatory changes and advise the organization on potential impacts. For Planning Control: Act as the primary voice of Planning Control in cross-functional meetings – proactively identifying risks, raising concerns, and offering alternatives when timelines or priorities are unrealistic. Engage in constructive, assertive communication with production and other departments to resolve conflicts and protect customer delivery commitments. Champion a culture where PC teams feel empowered to speak up and contribute to decisions, even when opinions differ from stronger functions. Manage master production schedules based on situations of demand, material availability, and capacity. Drive transparency on schedule changes and ensure all stakeholders understand downstream impacts. Build a team that is confident, respected, and effective.   Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or related field. 5+ years of experience in logistics and production planning, ideally in electronics manufacturing. Strong knowledge of international trade compliance (customs regulations, risk controls, export controls) and hands-on experience with import / export documentation. Proven ability to communicate assertively and professionally in cross-functional settings. Comfortable with healthy debate and capable of influencing without direct authority. Good in English reading and writing. Experience with ERP systems.
