The Graphic Designer plays a key role in bringing the Fueling Brains brand to life through compelling visual storytelling across digital and print platforms. This position is responsible for creating high-quality creative assets that support marketing campaigns, website initiatives, content creation, brand awareness, and business development efforts.
Rooted in the Fueling Brains mission and values, the Graphic Designer collaborates closely with Marketing, Content, Digital, and Leadership teams to ensure all visual communications are engaging, consistent, and aligned with the organization's brand standards. This role requires a strong eye for design, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to transform ideas into impactful visual experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Creative Design & Brand Development
- Design visually compelling marketing materials that align with Fueling Brains’ brand identity and strategic objectives.
- Create graphics for digital and print marketing campaigns, including brochures, flyers, presentations, event materials, signage, outdoor advertising and promotional assets.
- Develop and maintain brand consistency across all marketing and communication channels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate concepts, messaging, and objectives into engaging visual designs.
- Design creative assets that support lead generation and customer acquisition.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution and enhancement of the Fueling Brains visual brand.
Website Design & Digital Assets
- Design banners, landing page graphics, illustrations, icons, and other visual assets for the Fueling Brains WordPress website.
- Work closely with the marketing and web development teams to improve website user experience and visual appeal.
- Create graphics optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile experiences.
- Ensure website visuals are aligned with branding guidelines and conversion-focused marketing goals.
Content Creation & Social Media Design
- Develop engaging social media creatives for platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other digital channels.
- Create and adapt creative assets for paid media campaigns across Meta, Google and other digital channels.
- Design visual assets for blogs, newsletters, webinars, email campaigns, and content marketing initiatives.
- Create infographics and visual storytelling elements that simplify complex ideas and enhance audience engagement.
- Support video and multimedia projects through graphic elements, thumbnails, and motion graphics where applicable.
Marketing Campaign Support
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts and campaign materials.
- Design digital advertisements, promotional campaigns, and lead-generation assets.
- Produce high-quality visuals that support brand awareness, customer acquisition, and community engagement initiatives.
- Ensure all creative deliverables are completed accurately and within project timelines.
- Develop creative variations based on campaign objectives, audience segments, platform requirements and ad specifications.
Team Collaboration & Project Management
- Work collaboratively with content writers, marketers, developers, and leadership teams.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative creative ideas.
- Incorporate feedback efficiently and continuously improve creative outputs.
Professional Development & Organizational Contribution
- Stay current with design trends, digital marketing best practices, and emerging creative technologies.
- Continuously expand skills in graphic design, branding, user experience, and content creation.
- Participate in team training, professional development, and organizational initiatives.
- Support company events, campaigns, and community engagement activities as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, Marketing Design, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in graphic design, digital design, or creative software are considered an asset.
Experience
- 4-7 years of experience in graphic design, visual communication, or creative marketing roles.
- Demonstrated experience designing marketing materials across both digital and print platforms.
- Experience working with WordPress websites and creating website graphics is required.
- Experience supporting social media marketing, digital advertising, and content marketing initiatives.
- Experience working within established brand guidelines while contributing creative ideas and innovation.
- Experience in education, EdTech, or child development sectors is considered an asset.
Key Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong working knowledge of Figma, Canva, or similar design platforms.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout design, color theory, and branding principles.
- Ability to create visually engaging content that supports marketing objectives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Creative thinker with exceptional attention to detail.
- Understanding of platform-specific creative requirements, and digital marketing best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, motion graphics, or video editing is considered an asset.
Work Environment Requirements
- Flexibility to support marketing initiatives, campaigns, events, and project deadlines as required.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and changing priorities.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in remote collaboration and digital project management tools.
- Ability to spend extended periods working on a computer and design software applications.
Additional Requirements
- Portfolio Requirement: Applicants must provide a portfolio demonstrating website design, marketing collateral, branding, and digital creative work.
- Availability to occasionally support special events, campaigns, photo shoots, or community engagement initiatives.
