You'll work alongside an existing team of specialists, collaborating daily with U.S.-based Project Managers and DTP teams to ensure every document we deliver meets state law requirements and WCAG accessibility standards.

What You'll Do

Document remediation & PDF accessibility

  • Receive translated documents in various file formats and prepare them for PDF conversion
  • Apply ADA tags, logical reading order, and structural markup to converted PDF files using tools such as Adobe Acrobat Pro and CommonLook
  • QA completed documents using screen reader software (e.g. JAWS, NVDA) to verify content is fully readable for blind and visually impaired users
  • Remediate complex layouts including multi-column text, tables, images, charts, and forms to ensure accurate reading order
  • Maintain consistent output quality across high volumes of documents within client deadlines

Accessibility compliance & quality assurance

  • Ensure all remediated documents meet ADA, WCAG 2.1/2.2, and Section 508 standards, as well as applicable state law requirements
  • Identify accessibility barriers within documents and apply corrective actions in line with best practices
  • Follow established quality checklists and internal accessibility guidelines for every file type handled
  • Flag compliance risks or tagging ambiguities and escalate as needed to the team lead or Project Manager

Collaboration & workflow

  • Work closely with Project Managers and DTP Specialists to receive files, meet turnaround targets, and communicate status updates
  • Coordinate with the existing ADA Specialists to maintain consistent tagging standards across the team
  • Support accessibility initiatives across multiple file formats and communication channels

ADA governance (preferred contribution)

  • Contribute to the review and updating of internal accessibility policies, procedures, and guidelines as experience grows
  • Support the development of accessibility training materials for colleagues and project teams
  • Stay current on regulatory updates, assistive technology developments, and accessibility best practices

What You'll Bring

  • Experience QA-testing documents with screen reader software such as JAWS or NVDA
  • Ability to handle multiple file formats including Word, InDesign exports, and scanned documents
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with complex layouts such as tables, forms, and multi-column structures
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for daily collaboration with the U.S. team

Preferred

  • Background in ADA compliance, accessibility auditing, or digital accessibility beyond document remediation
  • Knowledge of ADA Titles I-III and experience working within a state law compliance framework
  • Experience conducting broader accessibility audits of digital platforms, portals, or workflows
  • Familiarity with translation or localization workflows and multilingual document handling
