We are looking for a Jr.Process Engineer for our Manufacturing facility in Northern Cross. You will report to the Senior Process Engineer and become involved in the reactive and planned maintenance and development of facilities equipment, layout and infrastructure. Provide support to the project for Facilities, Process and Validation.

We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Junior Process Engineer for our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Northern Cross, Dublin. Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, this role offers a unique, fast-paced opportunity to work across both Cleanroom environments and our continuous flowline production for our personal home diagnostic kits.

As a Junior Process Engineer, you will bridge the gap between process optimization and mechanical upkeep. You will be responsible for driving efficiency through Lean methodologies, keeping technical documentation flawless, and working directly on the floor to support our Maintenance team with equipment troubleshooting and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization & Lean: Support the implementation of Lean manufacturing methods to eliminate waste, improve cycle times, and optimize continuous flowline efficiency.
  • Work Instructions & Documentation: Create, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
  • Time & Motion Analysis: Assist in conducting time analyses, capacity studies, and line balancing to maximize production throughput.
  • Maintenance & Operations Support: Provide hands-on support to the Maintenance team for planned (preventative) and reactive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of plant and automated equipment.
  • Cleanroom & Flowline Support: Ensure optimal equipment performance, workstation layout, and general infrastructure across both Cleanroom and standard manufacturing areas.
  • Validation Assistance: Support the Process Engineering and Validation teams in executing equipment test protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) and compiling technical reports.
  • Automation & Robotics: Assist in the basic diagnostics and maintenance of our packaging and automation systems.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain compliance with safety standards and participate in H&S programs related to facility and process upgrades.
  • Education: 3rd level qualification in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Biomedical, Process, or equivalent).
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (internship/placement experience considered), preferably within the medical device (ISO 13485) or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Adaptability: Comfort working in a cleanroom environment and a willingness to be hands-on with mechanical/maintenance tasks when needed.
  • Skills: Strong analytical mindset with a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and time-analysis tools.
  • Tech Savvy: Competency with documentation tools (e.g., Google Docs, MS Word) and ability to read technical diagrams/drawings.
  • Previous exposure to automated packaging lines or automation systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical wiring or circuit diagrams.
