Clinical Therapist

Social Workers and Counselors are encouraged to consider a full-time Clinical Therapist position with Liberty Healthcare at the Illinois Department of Human Services Treatment and Detention Facility.

The Treatment and Detention Facility provides specialized forensic mental health services in a secure residential setting to adults who have a history of committing sexual offenses.

The treatment program focuses on the individual needs of each client and treats everyone respectfully, with dignity, and with the belief that all people can change and achieve improved health and wellbeing.

Liberty Healthcare’s clinical team is comprised of over forty Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Behavioral Technicians, Recreation Therapists and ancillary professionals who collectively serve over five hundred clients.

• →Serving as primary therapist to assigned clients

• →Assessing clients, developing treatment plans, and monitoring client progress

• →Providing cognitive behavioral treatment and psychoeducation to individuals and groups

• →Participating in treatment team meetings

• You have the option of working five 8-hour days per week or a compressed work week with four 10-hour days
