Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support young people to achieve goals in Individual Case Plans
- →Promote independence and build community connections
- →Encourage and support young people’s interests
- →Build rapport and collaborate to achieve positive outcomes
- →Manage behavioural escalations and assist with emotional regulation
- →Support daily living skills (cooking, housework, laundry)
- →Communicate with the care team and report incidents promptly
- →Administer medication when required
- →Maintain progress notes and records
Requirements
~1 min read- Certificate IV in Youth Work, Mental Health, or a relevant qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Experience with Children and Young People (0-18) who have experienced trauma, neglect, or behaviours of concern
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Experience supporting young people from Indigenous or other cultural backgrounds
- Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
- Current unrestricted Driver’s Licence
- Desirable: Experience with behavioural management approaches, including TCI, positive behaviour support, trauma-informed care, Sanctuary or CARE residential models
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, WA Working with Children Check and WA DCP395 check.
