Senior Social Worker - Locality Safeguarding

• →Manage a caseload of complex and high-risk cases, including Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO), and court proceedings.
• →Provide mentorship and support to less experienced social workers and contribute to their professional development.
• →Undertake statutory assessments, develop and review child protection and care plans, and ensure all interventions are child-focused and outcome-driven.
• →Chair and lead multi-agency meetings, including strategy discussions and core groups, ensuring effective information sharing and planning.
• →Maintain high standards of recording, analysis, and decision-making in line with legislation, policy, and best practice.
• →Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver coordinated safeguarding responses.
• →Contribute to service development, including quality assurance activities, audits, and reflective practice sessions.
• →Promote and model Wakefield Council’s values, behaviours, and commitment to continuous improvement in children’s social care.

To be successful in this role you must have, 

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
