Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states
- →Ensure compliance with wage & hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies
- →Maintain accurate employee payroll records, timekeeping, deductions, and garnishments
- →Audit payroll data for accuracy; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- →Support onboarding/offboarding payroll actions (new hires, terminations, final pay)
- →Partner with HR and Finance on benefits deductions, PTO, and reporting
- →Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and urgency
- →Continuously improve payroll processes and documentation
Requirements
~1 min read- Associate degree in accounting or 2–5+ years of payroll experience (multi-state preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of payroll compliance and tax regulations
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Proficient in Excel and payroll/timekeeping systems
- Strong communication and customer-service mindset
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Construction, manufacturing, or project-based workforce experience
- Experience with Vista Viewpoint preferred, but not required
- Experience supporting union or prevailing wage payroll
