Payroll Specialist

• →Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states
• →Ensure compliance with wage & hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies
• →Maintain accurate employee payroll records, timekeeping, deductions, and garnishments
• →Audit payroll data for accuracy; investigate and resolve discrepancies
• →Support onboarding/offboarding payroll actions (new hires, terminations, final pay)
• →Partner with HR and Finance on benefits deductions, PTO, and reporting
• →Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and urgency
• →Continuously improve payroll processes and documentation

• Associate degree in accounting or 2–5+ years of payroll experience (multi-state preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of payroll compliance and tax regulations
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Proficient in Excel and payroll/timekeeping systems
• Strong communication and customer-service mindset

• Construction, manufacturing, or project-based workforce experience
• Experience with Vista Viewpoint preferred, but not required
• Experience supporting union or prevailing wage payroll
