Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Engineer Intern, you will contribute to real product work while learning best practices from experienced engineers:

→Collaborate with engineers to design, build, and ship scalable web applications
→Work on both front-end and back-end features using React, Java, and Node.js
→Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and work with SQL/NoSQL databases
→Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance improvements
→Learn and apply modern engineering practices (Agile/Scrum, clean code, CI/CD)
→Help improve documentation and contribute to team ways of working

We’re looking for a curious, motivated intern who enjoys building software and learning quickly.

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor (HBO/WO) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with React and at least one backend language/framework (Java and/or Node.js)
Basic understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and APIs (REST)
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset
Clear communication skills and comfort working in a team

Basic understanding of object-oriented design and code structure (classes, objects, interfaces; inheritance vs. composition)
Familiar with the SOLID principles and able to apply them in practical code design

Any prior internship, project, or open-source contribution

Hands-on experience delivering features in a real production environment
Mentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to cross-functional collaboration
Practical skills across front-end, back-end, cloud, and delivery practices (CI/CD)
A stronger foundation in software architecture, clean code, and design principles
A portfolio of real contributions you can showcase in future interviews
A vibrant Amsterdam office environment with a diverse and collaborative culture
