M1 Technology is currently seeking a talented Full Stack Developer (Backend) supporting a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services.

Responsibilities

→Design, develop, and deploy production-ready backend services and middleware using Java, adhering to rigorous standards for code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
→Manage and optimize search index infrastructure using Solr or Elastic Search, including performing schema updates and tuning Lucene queries for performance and efficiency.
→Architect and implement big data solutions and ingestion pipelines using tools such as Hadoop, PySpark, Spark, and Hbase.
→Possess significant experience in query optimization and managing the underlying sharding mechanisms of Solr or Elastic Search to ensure system scalability.
→Decompose complex functional requirements into discrete development tasks and deliver robust APIs for integration within distributed systems.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment
College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years)
- Performing schema updates
- Possessing significant knowledge & experience in submitting Lucene queries
- Possessing significant knowledge & experience on how Solr/Elastic shards work
- Possessing significant experience tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase (prefer at least two of the list)
