JOB PURPOSE
The Security Superintendent – ARGP is responsible for providing frontline leadership and operational control of all security functions at the Ar Rjum Project, ensuring effective protection of personnel, assets, infrastructure, and operations.
The role leads site security operations, implements Maaden security policies and procedures, conducts security risk assessments, manages security personnel and systems, and ensures full compliance with regulatory, contractual, and MSHEM security requirements throughout both project and operational phases.
In addition, during the construction stage, the security superintendent will be responsible to review all security related packages in accordance with SAIS SEC directives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Security Risk Management & Compliance
- Conduct Security Risk Assessments (SRA) for new activities, changes in operations, increased threat levels, or following significant security incidents.
- Ensure implementation, monitoring, and periodic review of security risk mitigation measures.
- Conduct regular security inspections, audits, and surveys to assess performance, identify gaps, and ensure site compliance.
- Ensure all security activities comply with Maaden codes, MSHEM‑14.00, statutory regulations, and applicable authority requirements.
2. Security Operations & Site Control
- Lead and manage day‑to‑day security operations at ARGP, including access control, perimeter security, patrols, investigations, and monitoring.
- Oversee the effective operation of security systems, including CCTV, access control, ID management, alarm systems, and key management.
- Ensure consistent implementation of site security procedures, post orders, and duty rosters.
- Investigate security incidents, breaches, thefts, and violations, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions.
3. Leadership & Workforce Management
- Provide direct supervision and leadership to security supervisors, officers, and contracted security personnel.
- Ensure security staff are trained, competent, disciplined, and fit for duty.
- Monitor performance, conduct periodic evaluations, and support development and readiness of the security team.
- Promote a strong safety, security, and ethical culture aligned with TEAM MAADEN values.
4. Contractor & Project Security
- Manage and oversee contractor security arrangements, ensuring alignment with Maaden security standards.
- Review and approve contractor security plans, manpower deployment, and equipment.
- Coordinate security support for project construction activities, laydown areas, camps, and logistics movements.
- Ensure contractor compliance through inspections and corrective action tracking.

5. Emergency Response & Crisis Management
- Support site emergency preparedness and response from a security perspective.
- Participate in emergency drills, incidents, and crisis management activities.
- Coordinate with site emergency response teams and external agencies during major incidents.
6. Stakeholder & Authority Coordination
- Liaise with local authorities, law enforcement agencies, and government security entities as required.
- Support permits, licensing, compliance inspections, and security‑related approvals.
- Maintain effective communication with site management and corporate security leadership.
7. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and submit monthly security statistics, KPI reports, and incident analyses.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and security documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve security systems, procedures, and capability at ARGP.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Preferred bachelor’s degree in security management, Public Safety, Criminal Justice, related field. Or any bachelor’s degree if experience fills the gap.
Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in industrial, mining, or project security, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
