→Flex officers need to be available to fill in for vacation request, open post, extra coverage, or call outs. If a utility officer cannot fulfill this commitment, this will limit their ability to remain a flex officer.
→If a flex officer has less than 40 hours for the week and is called within four (4) hours to start shift, the flex officer will be required to fill the shift. Any flex officer who cannot fill a shift within the four (4) hour time frame or cannot fill a complete shift after being offered a shift three (3) times, may be subject to discipline up to and including removal from the flex officer program.

Requirements

Valid Security D License
Valid FL Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Must have a clean driving history with no "at fault" accidents within the last three (3) years
Excellent communication skills, with a courteous and professional manner
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
