The Finance Executive (Income Audit) is responsible for verifying and auditing all financial transactions in the hotel, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and hotel policies. This role involves daily revenue auditing, preparing financial reports, and identifying any discrepancies or irregularities.
Responsibilities
~2 min read1. Daily Revenue Audit:
- →Verify and post daily revenue from various hotel outlets (rooms, food and beverage, events, etc.).
- →Reconcile daily receipts and payments with the hotel’s Point of Sale (POS) and Property Management System (PMS).
- →Attend to any ad hoc task which is assigned, due to the business needs.
- →Ensure all revenue is accurately recorded in the financial system.
2. Financial Reporting:
- →Prepare daily revenue reports for management review.
- →Generate monthly financial statements and reports as required.
- →Assist in preparing in any ad hoc report which is requested by management.
3. Discrepancy Resolution:
- →Identify and investigate discrepancies or irregularities in financial transactions.
- →Work closely with other departments to resolve any issues and ensure accurate financial reporting.
4. Compliance and Internal Controls:
- →Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- →Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and revenue.
- →Work with Compliance Associate and Manager to understand Hotel’s/Resort’s ISRA & CSAT Audit Controls specific to Income Audit.
- →Assist in internal and external audits.
5. Record Keeping:
- →Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions.
- →Archive financial documents in accordance with hotel policies and legal requirements.
6. System Management:
- →Oversee the use of financial software and systems.
- →Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial software upgrades.
7. Training and Development:
- →Provide training to staff on financial procedures and policies.
- →Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in hotel revenue management and auditing.
What We Offer

~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or auditing, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office and Hotel Management Systems (e.g., Opera, Micros or Infrasys).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
