Marshalls Civils & Drainage, part of our building products division, partners with customers to design, engineer and manufacture precast & reinforced concrete solutions that support critical infrastructure and civil engineering projects UK wide. As part of our commitment to the evolution of both our products and position as a leading supplier of innovative solutions to the UK water and drainage infrastructure industry we have a brand-new opportunity for a Civil Engineering CAD Team Leader available for internal applications in our Design & Engineering team.
So what's the mission?
Lead the team responsible for the design, specification and technical support of the Marshalls Sealed Manhole system within the wider Water Management products and solutions division with an exposure to Linear Drainage and specialist products. Take ownership of day-to-day team performance, resource planning, and customer service, ensuring work is delivered accurately and on time. Help to lead technical support and develop team capability and training.

This is an opportunity to expand on your experiences and develop your career. We think this role would be suited to someone who has;
- Experience of leading a technical team, including workload management, training, objective setting and performance support.
- Experience of reviewing and approving drawings, take-offs and bills of material.
- Ability to plan resources, manage competing priorities and maintain high standards under demanding deadlines.
- Clear and influential communicator who can build effective relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Qualified to Level 3 in civil engineering related subject or equivalent.
- Experience working within a design and technical environment.
- Ability to work within design standards / codes.
- Experience in undertaking take-offs and drawing/specification reviews.
- Problem solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of 2D CAD.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Be able to demonstrate flexibility to adapt and respond to change.
- Self-motivated and proven ability to consistently meet project deadlines.
