Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to assist the Regional Quality Enhancement Director in;\r\nsupport of the DDA’s mission to assure the full participation of individuals with\r\ndevelopmental disabilities and their families in all aspects of community life and to promote\r\nquality supports and services necessary to foster their personal growth, independence and\r\nproductivity. This position is responsible for supporting the Regional Quality Enhancement\r\nDirector in the analysis of data gathered through various quality assurance assessments, review of\r\nincidents, and quality enhance individual reviews. In addition, The Regional QE program Staff\r\nprovides technical assistance to address systemic problems that focus on enhancing individual’s lives\r\nand improving quality of services provided by the community agencies within the region.\r\nThis position requires extensive coordination with the individuals receiving services,\r\nfamilies, advocates, provider community, Office of Health Care Quality, and the general\r\npublic.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nPer COMAR Regulation 10.09.48.05E a Coordinator of Community Services shall have:�\r\n� � (a) A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a Human Services field; OR�\r\n� � (b) An Associate's degree with two (2) years experience in a Human Services field; OR\r\n� � (c) Seven (7) years experience in a Human Services field.\r\n\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:� �Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \r\nExperience: One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources. \r\nNotes: \r\n1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience. \r\n2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education. \r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The preferred candidate should possess:\r\n\r\n\r\n Experience with prioritizing essential tasks to complete time sensitive assignments.\r\n Experience navigating the DDA service delivery system.\r\n Willingness to travel within the five counties (Calvert, Charles, Montgomery, Prince George's and St. Mary's counties) served by the SMRO.\r\n Experience following and improving internal procedures within available resources.\r\n Experience in the Google Workspace Platform and Microsoft Office to manage workloads and document work activities.\r\n\r\n\r\n
