POSITION DUTIES

The Executive Office of the Comptroller of Maryland is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented\r\nprofessional to join our team as a Correspondence Specialist. This individual will play a key role in\r\nsupporting the Executive Office of the Comptroller by ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering\r\nexceptional frontline administrative and constituent services.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Correspondence Specialist will manage all incoming correspondence, including phone calls, emails,\r\nfaxes, and physical mail by responding appropriately and directing inquiries through the correct channels.\r\nThe role also oversees the organization and maintenance of both electronic and physical filing systems to\r\nensure accurate records and timely access to essential information.\r\n\r\n\r\nPlease Note: Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of completed applications.\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an\r\naccredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.\r\nExperience: Four years of\r\nadministrative staff or professional work.\r\n** For education obtained outside\r\nof the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American\r\neducation as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. If you\r\npossess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a\r\ndetailed, course-by-course evaluation report from one of the U.S. equivalency\r\nevaluating members identified at http://naces.org/members/\r\n

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

\r\n Possession of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field\r\n Administrative or Office Support experience in a government or public-facing environment\r\n Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion\r\n Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office software\r\n Exceptional organizational and time management abilities\r\n Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping\r\n Professional, courteous, and service oriented communication style\r\n Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment\r\n Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines\r\n Strong written and verbal communication skills\r\n\r\n
