Main Purpose of Job

The Deputy Director of�Pretrial Reentry�supports the strategic leadership and administration of Pretrial reentry initiatives aimed at promoting successful transition from the Pretrial facilities to the community.� Working under the Executive Director of Reentry, this position helps guide program operations, policy implementation, and partnership development across multiple agencies and community stakeholders.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Pretrial Deputy Director plays a key role in advancing the state’s mission to reduce recidivism, expand access to critical support and strengthen outcomes for returning citizens. This position requires a collaborative leader with strong organizational, analytical and communication skills and is passionate about the success of individuals reentering society.\r\n

POSITION DUTIES

Program Leadership and Operations\r\n\r\n\r\n Direct the daily operations of the Pretrial Reentry Department, including attending meetings and events on behalf of the Executive Director of Reentry and DPSCS�\r\n \r\n Assist the Executive Director of Reentry Services with strategic planning, program expansion initiatives, and implementation of statewide reentry service strategies.\r\n \r\n Assist in the development, review, and revision of standard operating procedures, manuals, policies, and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) related to reentry services.\r\n \r\n Lead and facilitate monthly reentry team meetings to communicate operational updates, initiatives, and program expectations.\r\n Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards.\r\n Promote a multidisciplinary approach to reentry services through collaboration with internal and external partners, stakeholders, and contractors.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nStaff Supervision, Training, and Recruitment\r\n\r\n Supervise, evaluate, and support the DPDS Reentry Specialist team to ensure the effective delivery of reentry services to justice-involved individuals.\r\n Serve as hiring manager for recruitment, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of Reentry Specialists and related positions.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nQuality Assurance and Program Evaluation\r\n\r\n \r\n Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance and audit tools for reentry services and programs.\r\n \r\n Conduct periodic quality assurance reviews and statistical analyses of reentry programs and provide findings and recommendations to executive leadership.\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nData Management and Reporting\r\n\r\n \r\n Assist in the preparation of reports and the collection, tracking, and analysis of statewide reentry program data and statistics.\r\n \r\n Support the coordination, monitoring, and maintenance of program databases and data systems.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

\r\nApplicants must meet all minimum qualifications to be considered, and to appear on the list of people eligible for hire. Please read all requirements before applying.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nEducation: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in�Criminal Justice, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field.\r\nExperience: Five (5) years of experience in corrections or in community-based settings working with justice involved population and five (5) years of supervisory experience in these settings.\r\n\r\n\r\nNotes:\r\n1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university for up to three (3) years of the required experience.\r\n\r\n\r\n

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants�who possess the following preferred qualification(s).�Include clear and specific information on your application regarding�your qualifications.\r\n\r\n\r\n Five (5) years of experience within a correctional facility setting.\r\n Four (4) years of professional experience with reentry, care coordination, or case management.\r\n\r\n\r\n
