POSITION DUTIES
The Director\r\nof Community Investment leads special projects and reform initiatives within\r\nthe DPSCS. This role involves close collaboration with the Office of the\r\nSecretary to partner with communities statewide, delivering impactful events and\r\nprogramming. The Director strategically invests public and private resources in\r\nboth institutional and non-institutional settings to enhance overall community\r\nand institutional well-being.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n The CI Director serves as the Department’s community engagement liaison. The Director is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community leaders, state, local and federal government agencies, donors, corporate partners, facilities leadership and internal departments.\r\n Collaborate with community groups to co-create initiatives that are community-led and impactful within and outside of the agency, such as, DPSCS Health and Wellness program, Trauma response programming, back to school events, turkey drive events, job fairs (in conjunction with human resources), reentry simulations, and statewide reentry conferences.\r\n Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of staff focused on community investment/engagement.�\r\n Coordinate and oversee the departments Citizen Advisory Boards within the Baltimore, Cumberland, Hagerstown, Jessup and Eastern regions. The Director will also assist with hosting the board meetings within the regions.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:�Bachelor's Degree\r\n�\r\nExperience:�4 years of experience planning, implementing,\r\nand executing project management in Public Safety, this experience must include\r\n3-5 years of experience coordinating and executing community-based events. \r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
�\r\nPossession of a Master's\r\nDegree.\r\n�\r\n3 years of experience managing\r\ngrants & loans for the sake of community development and improvement in the\r\nPublic Safety or Informed Trauma Care sectors. \r\n
