Main Purpose of Job
Spring Grove Hospital Center is seeking a detail‑oriented, organized, and customer‑focused Office Clerk II to support our Housekeeping and Laundry Department. This role is essential to ensuring smooth daily operations that directly impact the comfort, safety, and overall cleanliness for over 400 patients. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy being the administrative backbone of a hardworking team, please apply.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis position provides administrative and clerical support to the Housekeeping and Laundry leadership team. This position maintains accurate records, logs, schedules, and departmental documentation. This position assists with inventory tracking, supply ordering, and linen distribution records, as well as tracking employee files, and enters and updates data in departmental systems, including overtime tracking and work orders.�This position also communicates effectively with staff, supervisors, and other hospital departments, as well as�supports onboarding tasks such as scheduling, paperwork, and training coordination, and�responds to inquiries, phone calls, and requests in a professional and timely manner.�Additionally, this position assists with resolving issues related to supplies, linen shortages, or workflow changes.\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:� �Completion of the eighth grade.\r\nExperience: One year experience performing clerical duties in an office environment. � \r\nNotes:����� \r\n1.�Additional experience performing clerical duties may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education. � \r\n2.�Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate may be substituted for six months of the required experience. � \r\n3.�Six months clerical training with three courses in subjects such as keyboarding, clerical math, word processing, spreadsheets, data base, graphics presentation, proofreading, or office etiquette may be substituted for six months of the required experience. � \r\n4.�Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service�experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative, Clerical or Office Services specialty codes in the Clerical Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.��\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
\r\nThe desired candidate should possess the following:\r\n\r\n\r\n A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).\r\n Experience with computers, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems.\r\n Experience communicating, organizing, and multitasking both independently and as part of a team.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
