Main Purpose of Job

This regional management level position provides direction to the Regional Quality\r\nEnhancement (QE) Team in support of the DDA’s mission to assure the full participation of\r\nindividuals with developmental disabilities and their families in all aspects of community life\r\nand the promotion of quality supports and services necessary to foster their personal growth,\r\nindependence and productivity. This position is responsible for the regional analysis of data\r\ngathered through various quality enhancement assessments, review of incidents, and\r\nindividual plan and service reviews. In addition, the Regional QE program team provides\r\ntechnical assistance to address systemic problems that focus on enhancing individuals’ lives\r\nand improving the quality of services provided by the community agencies within the region.\r\nThis position requires extensive coordination with the individuals receiving services, families,\r\nadvocates, the provider community, Office of Health Care Quality, other community agencies\r\nand the general public.\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:���A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field.\r\nExperience:�Six years professional experience in health services, three years must have been in Developmental Disabilities professional work related to treatment and development of developmentally disabled clients and two years must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.\r\nNotes:�\r\n1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master’s degree or a Doctorate degree in a health or human services field from an accredited college or university for up to two years of the required general experience.\r\n2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus an additional year of professional experience in health services for the required education. \r\n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Health Services Administration specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.\r\n

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The preferred candidate should possess:\r\n\r\n\r\n Experience in quality assurance, quality enhancement, or program evaluation within human services, healthcare, or regulatory environments.\r\n Experience working with Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS)Waiver programs and knowledge of federal and state waiver compliance requirements.\r\n Demonstrated experience analyzing program performances data, incident trends, and quality indicators to improve service outcomes.�\r\n Leadership experience supervising professional staff and managing multidisciplinary teams.\r\n Experience developing or implementing Quality Enhancement or Quality Assurance review processes.\r\n\r\n\r\n
