Main Purpose of Job
This regional management level position provides direction to the Regional Quality\r\nEnhancement (QE) Team in support of the DDA’s mission to assure the full\r\nparticipation of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in all\r\naspects of community life and the promotion of quality supports and services necessary\r\nto foster their personal growth, independence and productivity. This position is\r\nresponsible for the regional analysis of data gathered through various quality assurance\r\nassessments, review of incidents, and individual plan and service reviews.�This position also conducts onsite routine or complaint visits to provider agencies throughout the 9 counties in the region which requires work in the evening. In addition,\r\nthe Regional QE program team provides technical assistance to address systemic\r\nproblems that focus on enhancing individuals’ lives and improving the quality of\r\nservices provided by the community agencies within the region.\r\nThis position requires extensive coordination with the individuals receiving services,\r\nfamilies, advocates, the provider community, the Office of Health Care Quality, other\r\ncommunity agencies and the general public.\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:���A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field.\r\nExperience:�Six years professional experience in health services, three years must have been in Developmental Disabilities professional work related to treatment and development of developmentally disabled clients and two years must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.\r\nNotes:�\r\n1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master’s degree or a Doctorate degree in a health or human services field from an accredited college or university for up to two years of the required general experience.\r\n2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus an additional year of professional experience in health services for the required education. \r\n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Health Services Administration specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The preferred candidate should possess:\r\n\r\n\r\n Direct experience working in the field of developmental disabilities.\r\n Knowledge/Experience with LTSSMaryland and the COMAR Medicaid Waiver.\r\n Supervisory experience.\r\n Experience with data analysis.\r\n Experience with quality improvement.\r\n\r\n\r\n
