Main Purpose of Job
This position will provide individual, family and group therapy (under direct supervision) and counseling in the treatment of serious emotional and behavioral problems of children, adolescents, and their families and some adults. This position will also provide assessments and evaluations with diagnosis (diagnosis under direct supervision) on all assigned clients and make referrals when indicated. This position formulates treatment plans with clients and families based on treatment needs. This position implements treatment based on assessment, evaluation and treatment plans. Additionally, this position will serve as a resource for community programs and in the development of policies and procedures that will impact on service delivery. This position\r\nis designated emergency essential.\r\n

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Candidates must be licensed as a Graduate Social Worker (on or by June 30, 2018), Master Social Worker (on or after July 1, 2018) or Certified Social Worker by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners prior to appointment to a position in State service. Applicants who do not have a license may also apply pending receipt of the required license. When the license is obtained, submit a copy to the Maryland Department of Health�Testing Unit. \r\n2. Candidates appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess an appropriate operator's license valid in the State of Maryland. \r\n
