MAIN PURPOSE  

To support the CAMEX association and its Board of Directors in terms of development and smooth functioning: 

  • Strengthen, dynamize and ensure the proper functioning of the MSF CAMEX Association through the coordination of associative spaces, the accompaniment of the Board of Directors and committees, and the promotion of the active participation of members. 
  • Support the Board of Directors in the development of its legal, internal governance and task monitoring responsibilities. 
  • Manage the budget of the association under the authority of the president and follow up on administrative/logistical issues. 

In addition, the Associative Coordinator acts as the associative focal point for the office and Mexico City. 

 


 

RESPONSABILITIES 

 

Develop the network of active associate members and their support for MSF's activities in the region 

 

  • Design and implement strategies to increase the participation and commitment of associative members. 
  • Manage the development of the associative network through programming, budget definition, coordination of event activities, as well as propose activities for the events calendar. 
  • Coordinate with the associative focal points the development of associative life activities in each country of the region. Draw up a calendar and provide support for the planning and implementation of the same. 
  • Manage communication to and from the members of the Association through the preparation and implementation of the communication plan, as well as the management of the different digital platforms. 
  • Plan and execute briefings on the association and its processes, as well as conducting trainings for association leaders 
  • To help the Board of Directors build capacity within the associative members to enrich the number of members capable and motivated to be future members of the Board of Directors. 
  • Maintain active interaction with the community of associative coordinators of the MSF Movement to share good practices, resources, learnings and explore possible synergies of collaboration in the associative network. 
  • Conduct introductory sessions of the association as required for the key people of the executive in the region with the aim of proposing their adhesion to the Association. 
  • Support for the Executive Team and Cross-Cutting Areas when information needs to be disseminated or specific support requested from the associative network. 

 

Plan and manage key association meetings (PRE-FAD, FAD, AG, face-to-face meeting of the Board of Directors) 

  • Coordinate the elaboration, validation of the agenda and list of participants. As well as providing the necessary information that is required. 
  • Manage the organization (communication, physical and digital logistics, supplier management, etc.) and ensure the success of meetings when required. 
  • Manage the logistical aspects of accommodation, flights and expenses that are necessary to guarantee the participation of associative members in face-to-face meetings. 

Support the functioning of the Board of Directors 

  • Coordinate regular meetings of the Board of Directors and sub-committees including prior communications, reporting/minutes, recording of decisions and follow-up on commitments. 
  • Support the Board of Directors in carrying out the annual and multi-year planning processes. 
  • Support the Board of Directors and sub-committees in terms of information management, including the management of the SharePoint website. 
  • Coordinate the election and appointment of the members of the Board of Directors, managing the implementation of the approved process. 

Support the fulfillment of the legal obligations of the Association and the Board of Directors 

 

  • Collect and manage all official documentation of the Board of Directors, the Membership, and the General Assembly (including updating legal records and minutes). 
  • Support the Board of Directors in complying with legal deadlines and requirements; as well as the obligations established by the MSF movement. 
  • Support the governance committee in updating and revising the Association's bylaws and other governance documents. 

Manage the budget of the association under the authority of the Board of Directors. 

 

  • Develop the Association's budget andsubmitit for annual approval. 
    • Manage expenses in conjunction with the treasurer, ensuring consonance with budget allocations and spending policy. 

 

External Relations and Articulation 

  • Interact with allied organizations and local representatives to develop and strengthen alliances in associative projects that require it. 
  • Represent CAMEX and strengthen the relationship with other MSF entities in meetings of associative coordinators at the international level. 

Associative focal point of the Mexico City office 

  • Conduct introductory sessions of the association as required for the new members of the teams and the pool of international mobile staff in the region with the aim of proposing their adhesion to the Association. 
  • Participate in the sessions of the office, as required, in order to publicize the actions of the association and ensure the participation of the staff and the link with the Management Team. 
  • Develop associative life activities in Mexico City for the growth of the network of associates and their active participation in the association.

  • Experience in associative coordination, governance, membership management, or working with civil society organizations or international NGOs. 
  • Experience in applying legal guidelines. 
  • Minimum experience of one year in MSF. 

Languages

  • Complete command of Spanish

  • French and/or Portuguese.

POSITION CONDITIONS 

Base Salary: 38,900 MXN gross per month. 

Benefits by local legislation: 25% vacation bonus, social security, holidays by law.   

 

Benefits additional to legislation: 

 

  • Eligible individual experience bonus: 2% of the Base Salary for each year of eligible experience, up to a maximum of 20%. 
  •  25 days of vacation per year, up to 3 (personal days) paid leave days per year, additional public holidays beyond those required by law, 30 days of year-end bonus.
  • Comprehensive private health insurance covering major medical expenses and minor medical consultations.
